It's ironic, but there were two things that we agonized over when we started this blog.
1. How will people know that we are being honest about our rawness?
2. How should we handle it if one of us breaks?
Your heartfelt confession yesterday should serve as proof of our honest intentions. But what happens now?
We have formed an odd little friendship here. Both of us have struggled finding honesty in our past relationships, and for some reason, we seem to be overcoming our fears of being hurt, or misunderstood through this unlikely alliance. Am I gonna be invited to your Lord of the Rings wedding vow renewal in 2012? Nah, that'd be weird. We aren't friends like that. But we are the kind of friends that demand trust, and there is real meaning in that.
Despite how flawed we both are, this whole thing is swirling in divinity. There is more at work here than us just wanting to be raw. I don't know what it is...is it being holy?
It might be.
Is it being more connected to our Universe?
Yes, perhaps.
I think that if one of us breaks again we should handle it as it comes. No rules of engagement. No preconceived idea of a consequence unless one of us flat out quits. And never, EVER because of a solitary, weak moment.
At this point in time, I know that I don't want to cross the finish line without you. Maybe a month from now I might feel differently, but right now? No. We are in this together...no man left behind. After I post this I am setting the clock to DAY TWO. We will not look back. There will be no, "well, I'm really on day 42." There will be no, "geez, if only I hadn't broken."
I know in my very core that we are meant to do this together. And we will.
Divinity: a soft white candy, usually containing nuts.
This definition may suit us NOW, but one day it will read...
Divinity: a state of being divine.
i dont know you, but that is awesome and inspiring. christopher neimam
